Celebration International Peace Day with Cultural and interaction programme
Towards developing a culture of youth involvement, peace and non violence society

To celebrate international day of peace on 21st Sep 2008, Youth Change the World with the partnership of LCOEM is going to organize a cultural program e.g. music, dance, drama, live concerts and talk programme on peace. Artists will perform different activities and the guests will deliver special speech on the theme of the day i.e. youth for peace, peace and non violence society, meditation for peace, conflict transformation, reconciliation and overall need of international day of peace.
The main purpose of organizing cultural programme is to attract young people and make aware about peace because always youth are involved in any types of conflict and violence around the world.

Objective

  • To make aware about culture of peace and non violence society

  • To disseminate message of peace around the world

  • To provide platform for fresh young people to explore their hidden talent

  • To make aware about conflict transformation and reconciliation

  • To develop a youth and human rights network in London and solidarity with likeminded organizations

On this occasion, we request young people and entrepreneurs for their active participation in various modalities. We welcome the young ones for their voluntary contribution. Also, individuals, entrepreneurs, organizations and companies are warm welcomed for their contribution to succeed the attempt of youths.

Venue:  Charlton Social Club, Charlton, East London, in front of Charlton national railway station.
National Rail: 
15 min journey from London Bridge to Charlton station.
Underground : in front of North Greenwich underground station take 486 bus to Charlton.

  2 PM – 8 PM
Audience:  About 200 mostly youth.

             Lead by Shona Shrestha a young and charisma Model

          Participant will sit for the tradition Nepalese food.

·         Finally, Floor open for participant group dance with DJ Ms. Sharmila

      Jessica van der Kamp
officially she is Canadian citizen but she consider herself to be from Hong Kong where she was born and grew up. Well, in our language of campaign she becomes a global citizen.  She used to work on the advocacy programme at UNOY, a Netherlands base INGO and engaged in lobbying at the United Nations on the culture of peace. She has since moved towards the direction of international law, and has just completed her Masters of Law in International Law.

Celebrating international youth day 2008

Dear Friends,
Warm welcome in a culture of youth involvement  society,

As we know that 12th August is an International Youth Day that was officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly on December 17, 1999.

In the collaboration of www.ideaforum.org and Youth Change the World (www.youthchangeworld.org ) organize (with the support of London College of Engineering and Management) an informal learning workshop towards developing a culture of youth involvement society.

Youth will discuss on their agendas and the United National theme for IYD2008 is YOUTH AND CLIMATE CHANGE: TIME FOR ACTION.

To celebrate this year‘s youth day, we are inviting you to attend this learning workshop, where young people will share their experience, discuss youth and ICT role for climate change.

We request you to forward this information to your friends and family towards more participants.
