Celebration International Peace Day with Cultural and interaction programme

To celebrate
international day of peace on 21st Sep 2008, Youth change the world, Ideaforum.org, in the partnership of LCOEM going to organize a cultural (music, dance, drama, live concert) and talk programme. Artist will performance different activities and our guests will deliver special speech on peace i.e., youth for peace, peace making, keeping, building, peace and non violence society, meditation for peace and overall need of international day of peace. more

Youth Change the World and Idea Forum.org are an informal campaign working towards developing a culture of youth involvement and peace society around the world organized celebrating and learning workshop on 12th august 2008 in London with the partnership of London College of Engineering and Management (LCOEM).
 
Chairperson, an ICT literate young human rights campaigner Mr. Shakti Ghimire inaugurated the programme showing the video that created by conflict victim youth. The objective of this programme is to make people aware about International youth day.

Human rights?
Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.

Universal human rights are often expressed and guaranteed by law, in the forms of treaties, customary international law , general principles and other sources of international law. International human rights law lays down obligations of Governments to act in certain ways or to refrain from certain acts, in order to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms of individuals or groups.

This Programme aims to provide an opportunity for young people of the world to share their ideas and experiences of improving their communities and making a better world. It is a forum for youths to gain new skills, explore issues, work on practical projects, ICT for new life, build new friendship, collaboration and have fun. Another side of the course will involve looking at issues in-depth and sharing information, insights, good practices in conflict resolution, peace- building and a range of development related issues. The main aim of this course is to train youth leaders in the fields of peace, development, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and sustainable development in order to meet the challenges facing youth NGOs/organizations in the 21st century, in either the developed or developing countries.
